A fantasy visit
Shadow Lady
by irishauthorme
Shadow Lady
You floated into my aloneness A leaf down a woodland stream Dipping, dancing, whirling 'Till you became part of my dream Without a rhyme or reason You smiled and took my hand Then suddenly I was walking In a new and different land You knew all my secrets And you loved me anyway The sky was forever, ever blue On that fulfillment day Then a voice, far and distant Was calling you away My music made you smile But I knew you couldn't stay So I gathered fragrant blossoms Bound them in a sweet bouquet 'Gainst your breast, they kissed your tears As you slowly turned away But now, in sweet memory With a part of you still here I can smell the blossoms, Hear the music, the music of the spheres |
