When I didn’t

feel comfortable

inside my own skin

I decided to buy a new coat

believing it would fit me better

I

tried on many

some were too uptight

others selfish, arrogant

or ill tempered, just not right

 few were not too bad

but still not quite

good enough

so I felt

sad

I went home empty handed

except for the satisfaction I felt

when I slipped comfortably

into my old self again

thanking God for

my own domain
