Liaisons of Light

The colour that blooms
like a lavender kiss,
not remiss
but ensconcing
in velvet

bursts from the sky
like a soft lullaby,
lulling our eyelids
to drowse.

A lover's caress,
this stressless
distress,
as susurrus
whispers ignite

the cold in our hearts
as the crimson departs
artful touches,
liaisons of light.
