On Writing
Me and My Pen
by amada
I, genie, come to you, pen, in light. You court me, entice me to release my unquenchable words As I dance. As I heal. As I write. I give myself permit to open my wonder-filled lines out to play. iI incite your brooding mind to release its holding grasp. You soak-in my soul without reproach. Words, intimate as my blood flowing out like wine, spilling forward fast opening its borders to you, my writing pen. I weave my fingers into your mettle as if holding the last thread of a rescuing rope. As you spell my life in your taunting trace. |
