Seals on vacation, encounter pirates.
Pirates Pick The Wrong Ship
by Thesis
After a one-year deployment in the Arabian Sea, it was nothing short of a miracle I was able to coax two of my team members to go on a Mediterranean cruise with our girl friends.
As the car arrived bringing the girls, my heart began to race. It was like first love again. This was going to be fun.
We hovered around the bar cart for hours, listening to rock music blaring from the speakers, trying to remedy our sobriety.
Later, as we dined on deck, we heard the distinct sound of metal pinging steel. Someone was firing at the ship. Racing to the port side, we witnessed the ship being boarded.
The pirates rounded up the passengers on deck to rob them. One cut Rich's girlfriend's arm, making her bleed.
That was a fatal mistake for the pirate. Rich, a mountain of a man, bolted for the pirate and punched him square in the jaw, sending him flying across the deck.
Before the other pirates knew what was happening, Jimmy and I quickly disarmed them of their AK-47's and forced them overboard.
Happy, the passengers and crew quickly buried the three of us in hugs of gratitude.
Perhaps it was fate that three US Navy Seals were aboard.
