"Wait a minute!" Detective Martinez slapped his forehead. "Jenson was never in Phoenix. That means the twins lied about Fitzgerald, so Kowalski had time to swap the diamonds. That's why Jacob the Fence was murdered. Manson's old lady didn't see his mistress, she saw the cleaner wearing Candice's coat. The betting scam was just a smoke screen to hide O'Leary's involvement in the drug dealing, which is why no-one reported Carvin missing.
