Moonlight Waltz

by Jewell McChesney

Moon
Rising
Dusk ending
Night-time stands still
Silence speaks softly
As flickering fireflies
Dance a mid-air waltz for me
While melodies of evening play
Mother earth's aura lights up the sky
I now memorize nature's imagery
