The first of Emojis
Been through the ages
Before languages
As this mark on the skin
All about kissing

An imprint of the lips
Showing you've been nipped
Not to be confused
With a pimple's bruise
No matter how light
Is the love bite

What this abrasion in foreplay
Comes to display
In a touch to fondle
Red, blue or purple
Is this discoloration on the neck
More than a peck

Being in the art
Prior to the outline of the heart
As an icon
In need of no introduction
Sweet as a tonsil hockey
I am the hickey
