Spring is here...

Welcome Back!

by Boogienights

Winter has given up the fight,
Leaves are budding on the trees.
Dandelions here and there
gently sway with spring's warm breeze.

Winter has given up the fight,
spring is waiting in the wings.
Happy colors she will splash
on flowers that the season brings.

Winter has given up the fight,
knowing that he has been beat.
Water once bound up in ice,
is now cooling barefoot feet.

Winter has given up the fight,
everything is fresh and new.
Soon the birds will fly our way,
singing songs for me and you.

Lady Spring, I'm glad you're here,
You are such a welcome sight,
Sunbeams filter through the trees,
Winter now has lost the fight.
