As a man I’m to write a poem about a woman, so what is there to say?
I guess I should start out by thanking God for women each and every day.
Two xx chromosomes and the ability to give birth.
It seems to me that women are the greatest asset we have here on Earth!
When women give birth they are the love of that child’s life.
And that woman will go to hell and back to protect her child from the world’s strife.
I was told once by a woman that love means Giving 100% and expecting Nothing in return.
That woman was my Mother and though now gone it's her unconditional love I still yearn.
It's the opinion of many that the world’s greatest book has it all wrong.
That God really created Eve first and her creation was based on a love song.
Yes it is true, that Eve is the woman who ate the fruit from the forbidden tree,
As the evil serpent whispered in her ear, “this fruit will give you the ability to really see”.
So out of the land of Eden, Adam and Eve were led.
God had to kick them out because of everything he had said.
So off into the big old world did Adam and Eve trudge.
But you know it was only Eve, the woman, who didn’t hold a grudge.
Women are well aware of this world’s hardship and toil.
And they know that those who work the hardest, the victors, get the spoil!
With the cards of life stacked against them women have risen with the tides.
And because they’ve never given up women of the world have made tremendous strides.
Iceland's Halla is a President and India’s Indira was Prime Minister.
Women are characterized as halcyon and men characterized as sinister.
A woman has the power to make a man feel shy.
And a woman has the power to make a man break down and cry.
Men go to the gym so women will think them buff.
Men will start a fight so women will think them tough.
The oldest profession in the world was created by a woman.
So the world's first company President, CEO and Owner must have been a woman!
Yes it’s true that throughout history some women have been whores.
But it’s also true that throughout history women have fought in wars.
Women who have served have risen up through the ranks.
Volunteering to be on the front lines and flying jets and driving tanks.
A movie isn’t a movie without a female love interest.
Where the man can’t think straight because his love for her makes him obsessed.
Damn you women!!!!!! Yes it’s true us men need you more than air.
And to us men it seems like you women don’t need us at all and that seems so unfair.
A woman in love is a beautiful thing.
And to that relationship it’s endless what that woman will bring.
A man is never happier than when he’s with the woman with whom he’s in love.
And as he treats her with respect and kindness, comes blessing from above!
Yes it's true that I could go on writing about how great women are all day long.
But I make my living as a musician so it's off to work I must go to hopefully write a new song.
My goal is to write a love song about all the world getting along.
And with our female drummer singing lead, what in the world could possibly go wrong?
This is just a silly little rhyming poem about our female gender.
Because a world without women would be a world without splendor.
So as me and the band jam in the studio looking for that new hit.
My hope is that when the men and women of the world hear it that they really like it.
Maybe the song will make enough to help me pay next month’s rent?
And if that is the case then I'll get to spend more time with my woman,
Which is always time well spent!
