Just a Silly Fictional about not wanting to be opposite sex

Men from Mars~Women from Venus

by Debi Pick Marquette

I do not want to be a man, even on planet, Venus

You'll never ever change my soul,, and nobody can wean us

I just want to be treated right, and won't let them demean us

The planet will look lovely as I plant all my gardenias

And I would hate to be a man, 'cause I don't want a p_ _ _s

My husband wouldn't change at all, even on planet, Mars

He doesn't always go with me to stores and the bazaars

But he would love to drive some Venus Sport imported cars

When he meets friends for dinner, they may even stop at bars

He loves his country music with the fiddles and guitars

So, Venus/Mars relationships would be a bit more genius

We're happy just to be ourselves, and nothing comes between us

Because I'm weaker I let hubby open up my jars

Instead of swinging on the porch, we're swinging from the stars

I know this is different for me, but I love doing Gypsy's prompts. Yet, I couldn't imagine myself being a man, even for a minute. So I wrote it a little different.

For this week prompt write about what your life would be if you were the opposite sex. You can write in poem or prose form. You may use the event picture, or one you like.

For this event, women writers/poets will imagine what would be different in their lives if they were men; men writers/poets will imagine what would be different in their lives if they were women.
