Withered cornhusks weigh on the mind
Sturdy Roots

Imagine this is all happening in one mans mind. This turbulence followed by this peace. Some of you will not need this note or I should say will understand the poem without this note.
Pictured are a couple of sturdy corn roots. For corn to be harvested there first needs to be seed. Seeds can be gotten from the silo, from corn seeds that have escaped the harvest or from sturdy roots that remain after the harvest.
It makes me laugh because they look just like feet. Like the feet of a large bird. A cassowary or perhaps or an emu.
Thank you for reading my poem
