Prayers for Joan

This poem is for one of our own

For dragonpoet, our dear Joan.



Joan's sister Ann, and husband, Pete

They left the cold on trip towards heat

Joan's sister and brother in-law 

Vacationing in Florida



But Pete passed Friday in his sleep

For family, our hearts will weep

They'll return him to Illinois

A homecoming, they won't enjoy 



As much compassion as we can

We send to you and sister, Ann

You have our love ~ You have our cares

So Joan and Ann, you're in our prayers
