A Wink and a Prayer

Whiskers the cat had a talent: lying with a wink. “I didn’t knock over the vase,” he’d purr, one eye slyly closing. “The dog did it.” Suspiciously, the dog was napping. Whiskers winked again. His owner sighed, “Whiskers, you wink every time you lie!” Whiskers smirked, winked, and purred, “Never!”
