My life.
American Citizen
by Raul1
I wasn't born in the United States of America, but I am an American citizen. I am proud of my Hispanic heritage. I come from El Salvador, a small country known for its hardworking people and enjoyable atmosphere. You can eat pupusas there. My first language is English because I came to America when I was seven. My first language is Spanish, but my second is English. I came here for a better life in 1980. All the people around me are friendly and treat me with respect. I write for a living and spend a lot of time with my parents. I aspire to be a professional novelist, a dream that fuels my passion for storytelling and drives me to keep learning and growing. I'm still learning, but I have come a long way. I love the outdoors and am blessed with my mom's garden, which I care for.
