They both solve their problem.
Lacie and Sally
by Raul1
"It is hard living a life," Sally says. "Yes, I know how you feel. There are so many ignorant people in the world," Lacie replies.
"I believe you. We've been through a lot, haven't we?" Sally asks, acknowledging their shared experiences.
"All we can do is hope they become our friends. It seems as if no one wants to talk to us," Lacie says.
"So true! Well, we can ignore them too!" Sally exclaims.
"This is a real headache of a problem," Sally says.
"You're telling me. I am trying to live life. So far, there is a bright side to all of this," Lacie says.
"What is it?" Sally asks.
"This will be all over and we'll have lots of friends. We were children when we made mistakes," Lacie says optimistically, showing her growth and acceptance.
Lacie and Sally go to the mall. People they know approach them. They talk as if they are friends. It is a friendly conversation. Lacie and Sally make many friends they know from school at the mall. They all tell them everything is back to normal.
"I can't believe we made friends just that," Lacie says.
"I know. And they have forgiven us for bothering them in high school. We did stupid things back then," he says.
"Yes, I think so. But look at the bright side. They are our friends now. We no longer need to worry about ignorance anymore," Lacie says.
"You are right. The problem is gone. We can go home freely. Everything is well," Sally says with a sense of relief, showing their journey from isolation to acceptance.
"It couldn't be any better," Lacie states, her voice filled with optimism for the future.
They both go to their jobs as engineers. It is challenging and dangerous, but someone must do it. They have regular salaries and hope to earn more money. They have to convince their boss that they are hard workers. Their focus is on coal, making metal, and welding metal.
