Patch and Ruby, Catching Things

Pepina, Ulla's cat is friends with our Ruby and Patch 

The three cats love to Skype about mice and the things they'd catch

But this day they were worried, they heard Helen caught the flu 

They wondered would the things they catch make them all that sick too



Pepina said Ulla is sick when she catches her colds

And Patch said maybe that is why the missus often scolds

When I am chasing something I see moving in the house

She might be worried I'll get sick if I would catch a mouse



So lets help our missus to not catch sickness anymore

Patch said when the newspaper comes I'll meet them at the door

My missus says she catches the paper when news is new

If she can't find it, she can't catch it, nothing she can do



Pepina said that Ulla likes to catch shows on tv

But I climbed the antenna once, that show she didn't see

If we don't let them catch the things that just might make them sick

Then we know we have helped them with our new cat doctor trick



Then Ruby said, I'm sorry but I do not think I can

When jogging, Kenzie loves to catch up to David, her man

Maybe some of the things we catch don't always cause us harm

One word doesn't mean everything must set off an alarm 



So these three silly cats had learned a new lesson that day

With hearts in the right spot, their common sense had gone astray

And they're all back to catching things, especially the mice

These three cats caught long before now, always treat others nice
