I was walking around amidst the first snowfall when a whole pack of owls seem to descend upon me in the middle of the street! Of course it was late at night, maybe I was infringing on their space or something. I ran away towards the closest trees I could find just to get some cover and they started screaming at me, like really wailing. Frankly, I was a bit perturbed with the whole thing. To get away from their screams, I ran deeper into the forest. I must of went for a long ways because I happened upon this light. It was coming from a ways away and it looked like a porch light. At this point, I had never known that there was anyone living in these woods, but then again, I never did venture into them. I saw some fresh footprints in the snow leading straight to the house. It was more of a shed than a house but it did give off a homey feeling. Then, a noise. At first, I thought it was the owls but I realized it was something else. I hear it again except it's closer, and then again, I felt like it was right next to me. I turned around and there he was, Santa Clauss. He was huge. He wasn't all that jolly though, he told me one thing. He said "no peaking till Christmas. If you walk any closer to the shop, you'll be put on the naughty list". I said "ok" and walked home. This was almost twenty years ago and I can now thoroughly assume that that was not Santa Clauss. I have no idea how in my right mind I deduced that the man who snuck up on me in the woods was old saint Nick.
