Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
A head too big for his neck

Major of the Minority

by Mike Stevens

Hoovering both junk food and attention,
The king of the world in his own mind
prepares for battles only he can dream

Imaginary foes wage war while he'll rage
Fancies himself Napoleon, saber raised high,
charges into battle from his easy chair

Leads from behind, “onward, men!”
Other men fear weapons, he fears thoughts
Perception is everything,
reputation’s all,
reality is what he says it is

Surrounded by farm-animals,
cannon-fodder of the daily war
Expendable, renewable, irrelevant pieces,
An inexhaustible supply,
born to serve him

From his ivory castle he dictates reality,
an all-powerful king loathed by the majority
