What would happen if I ate a crow bird alive?... hmm

Crow eater

by Mike McCluskey1

I'm lurking in the cemetery, waiting,
Watching crow birds, debating,
My stomach contemplating,
I'm patiently anticipating,
I trailed seeds leading to me, baiting,
Some are eating and participating,
I'm waiting to snatch one while the sun is waning,
I'm clad like a scarecrow in the shadows, wading.

   I ate a crow,
      Now I can soar,
   Up in the air flow,
      Like never before.

I grabbed an unaware, fat, black bird in its flaw,
It had no time to withdraw,
I ate the crow raw,
Bit, ripped and chewed through like a bone saw,
And I can't believe what I saw,
I saw like a crow and I started to caw,
Lost my teeth and grew a beak through my jaw,
My fingernail popped off and out grew a claw.

   I ate a crow,
      Now I can soar,
   Up in the air flow,
      Like never before.

I'm watching black feathers on my body plume out,
Through my arms black wings grew out,
Anew, a black sheen throughout,
I lept into the air flapping and flew out,
Observing my new world on a new route,
Soaring with no due doubt,
An exhilarating exhale blew out,
The conquering caw, tried and true shout.

   I ate a crow,
      Now I can soar,
   Up in the air flow,
      Like never before.
