A playful and lighthearted ode to another term for Mr Trump

A Whimsical Ode to The Donald

by Peter Jarvis

The Orange Agent with his characteristic flair
Is returning to the White House (complete with his duck ass shaped hair)
With a wave of his hand and a rictus grin on his face,
Has turned 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue into a carnival space!

The Oval Office now has a children's slide
And clowns in the hallways taking folks for a ride.
“Make America Fun Again!” he booms with glee,
Come and see the jugglers as they perform in the marquee

Press briefings are now a game of whack-a-mole
With JD Vance trying to debate gun control
“Ask me a question, and I'll consider my reply
Be it the truth or a well concealed lie"

The cabinet meetings? A talent bonanza on presidential scale
With knife throwing, a magician and a massive car boot sale
“Now listen to me carefully one and all
we need to finish that pesky wall"

Every Friday nights a fiesta, with buffalo wings galore,
“Take a swing at the issues, let’s settle the score!”
My cabinet shall consist of Musketeers and stars
A twitter style policy and perhaps some Tesla cars

The press will get a makeover - no more fake news
It will be me and only me who will give all interviews
Welcome to Trumpton news full of stories and spinning
With the constant message - The Donald is Winning

Melanie is the First Lady for a second time
Dressed in her best attire to see the latest Showtime
As she strolls through the halls, with the grace of a queen
And every room sparkles a sight to be seen

So raise up your glasses and toast to this day
In Trumplandia's where The Donald holds sway
With each twist and turn, buckle up and hold on tight
For a show full of surprises and a touch of delight

Now that the election is over, what comes next.

Nobody can foresee or imagine what will happen when Donald Trump is handed the keys to the White House again. My view is simply a bit of whimsical fun and is not a political statement.
Good luck to our friends across the pond
