My To-Do List

To-Do

Staring at my to do list
Has become my favorite task
Imagining doing things
Has become something to last
And yet I'm still here
Lingering near
Wishing for something fun
To appear
Memories haunt me
And occupy my mind
While trying to accomplish
One task blind
Frozen in place
Stuck in this time
Just one hope
The task would be mine
The tasks soon mesh
And form one view
To long for peace
Or something new
And I am still here
Lingering near
Wishing for something fun
To appear
