Forgive me, O Dear God,
I'm regretful of those lost years.
Wipe away all my shed tears
for sins caused here and abroad.

I come to you, Dear Holy One,
this prodigal son has returned,
to walk closer to you, I do yearn,
asking forgiveness for all I've done.

Only You can save my soul,
with Your Fatherly hands
pull me from this quicksand,
You are the one in control.
