The world of today seems to be changing too quickly.

Remember When

Do you remember when our friendships were easy,  and no one had to be concerned lest  an expression of our personal view point might slip past our lips, and alienate us from someone’s company we enjoy?   Remember when fears of the future weren’t a priority  and the latest news didn’t infiltrate our conversation, causing haste to change the subject  lest we entangle ourselves in a losing battle  over a diverse opinion?   Remember when tweeting was for the birds, and the social media sites were for socializing, when phones were for talking or emergencies, and our whole life wasn’t ingrained  somewhere on the cloud.?   Remember when ‘rabbit holes’ were for rabbits  rather than a place to dig for strange theories  of shocking things, likely only created by  a foreign adversary seeking to divide or  perhaps a want-to-be fiction writer?   Remember when the news told us what was happening  rather than some anchor’s spin or what we should believe; when politics were boring, and left to those we elected to take an oath and govern in in compliance  with the constitution?   Do you miss those days of not so long ago, or am I dreaming of an alternate reality which existed  only in some other dimension?
