Thunder

by Karen Dougherty Estep

The lightning in the stormy sky
Heeds to a intermittent rumbling
Under a darkened cloud cover I
Now hear for myself an old man grumbling
Drums beating a familiar sky tune
Each storm has a different beat
Resounding noise that happens spontaneously when two clouds decide to meet.
