Spring Contest Winner 

In early Spring the daffodils and flashy tulips lunge for light. Magnolia blossoms 'bout to burst stretch heavenward for something bright. A robin skips across the lawn in search of worms, some tasty bugs. Two squirrels romping crazily flee up a tree as if on drugs. Yes, Spring's arrived, injected all with zest for life, raw energy. These creatures, plants revitalized take on a new identity. I feel a rapture surging through. My legs would like to leap and run just like that boy did way back when. But no I can't! I'm eighty-one.
