What Is Love

What is love?
You ask of me.
It's the Man on the middle cross.
It wasn't the nails that held Him there.
It was His heart for the lost.
But, what is love?
You ask again.
It's the Man with stripes on His back.
With whips His flesh ripped open.
I deserved the attack.
What is love?
Do you see Him now?
There's a crown of thorns on His head.
He didn't have to stay there.
For me He suffered and bled.
That is love.
I hope you understand.
Jesus chose to die for me.
He could have walked away.
Yet through love He chose Calvary.
