In honour of my dearest granny

Darling Dearest

by Unclear Saria

Amidst the grim grotto,
Lay hope for the hopeless,
A tender touch for Saria's smouldering heart,
A soul perhaps kinder than Hestia.

In the midst of my Auja's books,
His Darling wife- Saria's Aai
The panacea to her problems,
stood with her half-unfurling smile.

As reality etches a line,
Saria's vision of Aai blurs,
She now foolishly looks for her,
In the yarns of her Saree.

unbeknownst that her Auja and Aai,
both now are in deep slumber,
And perhaps never to return,

Auja refers to Maternal Grandfather and Aai refers to Maternal Grandmother, I called them both endearingly Auja and Aai (as in any other conventional odia household).

Darling Dearest Aai, If I had a dime, for every time, you love me a little more, and, well I- Bounded by reality, helplessly yearn for your tender touch. Perhaps, I would be second to a croesus. But Instead, I am entangled in your memories, in the honour of which I offer you this piece of poetry
