I am shocked by the lack of common sense in securing and assessing locations for presidential candidates. While I'm not a Secret Service Agent, I have experience as a WITSEC Escort for the Department of Justice. WITSEC is a federal program that provides security, safety, and health care to government witnesses and their families whose lives are in danger due to their cooperation with the U.S. government.
The Secret Service standards are much higher, so it's incredibly concerning that there have been two assassination attempts on a presidential candidate in less than two months. This situation is truly mind-boggling. Shocking.
