Once so distant, but the horizon is here

Became reality through superstition's fear

The monsters inside have come alive,

Allowing racism, sexism, and hatred to thrive

Black hole where our reasoning used to be

Now we watch the world unable to see

Truth a victim of tyrants and selfish kings

But we're to blame, dance as they pull the strings

Yet we won't admit that our mind's not our own,

Controlled by an ego who already sits on a throne

In his mind; the authors of our own destruction,

Victims of a delusion of a madman's construction
