The Ear of God

by patcelaw

The
ear of God
is forever open
to hear the cries of His dear children,
when they are in distress and need to have His help,
He'll then faithfully answer their cries,
bringing about needed
peace in their
hearts.

This is a format of syllable, count writing I created. I call it the spaceship format. The syllable count on the poem is as follows. 1,3,6,9,12,9,6,3,1 and then it is centered on the page to create the spaceship. It is a bit of a challenge, but after a bit you begin to figure out how to get it to work. I would encourage each one of you to give it a try. I like to do syllable count writing. Basically, because I am not very good with meter. I can do rhyming poetry, but sometimes I want my words to sound more like I am talking directly to you and I do not have to force my wording. For those who follow me, they know of late I have been doing a lot of syllable count writing, and I especially like the spaceship and the nonet formatting.
Another thing which I tried to do with my writing is to put up an image along with it, and I tried to make my text coloring and the background, pleasant and artistic in appearance.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
