The Swallow And The Frog

by jim vecchio

“I soar freely in God’s open sky,”

Said the swallow to the frog

“And I pass time when I fly,

While you do sit upon a log”

“Your feathers are your beauty,”

Said the frog, “But soon you must fly south!”

“To fly is a swallow's  duty”

“While I sit, and swallow flies inside my mouth”
