Compatible Colors

by jim vecchio

Yellow is the color of the sun
Its richness can awake everyone
Grant us energy, keep us going
Take actions on the thoughts we’re sowing

When it’s mixed in equal parts with green
A color’s born, most soothing seen
Equal parts of each hue, don’t be loose
Soon you will have the color chartreuse

If not equal, ‘tis not food you’ll share
But colors named lime, olive and pear
Yellow represents a sunny beam
And with green, they make a happy team
