My thoughts for Nomi
Forever There!
by Begin Again
Come, dear friend. Take my hand and walk with me. I feel the cloak of sorrow you wear in this darkest hour of loss. I wish I could snatch it from your shoulders and carry the weight for you, but unfortunately, my words, my feelings, and my prayers may touch your grieving heart, but they cannot bring the light you so desire.
We know our days are numbered, but selfishly, we are never ready to let go when the time comes. We shamefully ask for one more day, one more minute, one last sweet kiss, and a gentle squeeze of the hand. We hope for another tomorrow.
Regardless of what we believe, in the first second, when our world changes from us to the reality of one, when the hammer of emptiness lowers its blow, and shockwaves reverberate through our body and mind, we beg for the hands of time to stop. Only then do we hear the silent sound of our heart splitting into pieces, spilling what was into an emotional pool of what will never be.
Take a moment in your favorite chair. Close your eyes and allow the memories to drift across your mind. These thoughts will sweep away the pain and sorrow. They are like Christmas, with gifts everywhere and the blessings of the child being born. Cherish these memories, for they are your source of solace and strength.
She's there beside you in her chair. Or maybe in the kitchen preparing dinner for two. Imagine a crackling fire or a special song, a moment you both cherished. Open your mind and let these precious reminders of your shared life bring a smile, a laugh, or maybe a tear. Whatever you see and feel, those emotions are something that will forever belong to just you and her. These are not just memories; they are your shared experiences and unique bonds, and they will forever warm you and bring light into your day.
Now, open your eyes and feel that love because she is there and will never disappear. You will know she is by your side, never to leave you alone, whispering, "My love is forever." She is in every corner of your life, every moment of your grief, gently brushing the tears from your eyes and helping you live your tomorrows until it's your turn and you will meet again.

I've read everyone's heartwarming poems and know I could not do poetry justice, something Nomi deserves in his time of grief. Instead, I offer my way of sharing by writing this short post for him. Many of us have walked in the garden of grief alone and struggled with our sorrows. I pray that these words give him a glimmer of hope.
Nomi, I send warm thoughts, gentle hugs, and prayers for strength as you walk this path âÃÂànot alone but with Yvonne by your side.
