Pride tends to block people blessings and lose battles
Pride
PRIDE
TANISHA C. WRIGHT
Lost a few battles due to my pride
I rather wait for the reward and not the prize
Patience has been a virtue
Resilence has been my go to
For what I strive
I'm not really satisfied, with my life
Been soul searching, trying to recreate what's mine
Fighting all those battles inside left me weak and incomplete
Disturbed my soul so much it's been very hard for me to sleep
Missing my brother, I hate that he's gone and six feet deep
But he's with my granny, so that's all that matters to me
Day In and Day Out
I keep striving because I know one day I will make it without a doubt
So I'm letting go of my pride
Because you have to have faith to take this ride
Let go and let GOD provide me with grace in due time
Never looking back, nor having resentiment of the past
Put my holy seatbelt on and if I shall want, I just pray and ask
Praying for this testimony so I'm saving the best for last
Being reborn and baptized so I hold my breath, lean back and grasp

I got my motivation back and I'm happy now that I can openly express myself more and share a part of my world with you all. I hope you all love and can relate to this poem of mines.
