Small mammals hiding from an aerial predator.

Skulk

Voles, mice and shrews skulk
 
in hedgerows, fearing kestrels
 
hovering above.

Writing Prompt
Write a 5-7-5 Poem! This is a poem with only three lines. The catch is there is a strict syllable count. The first line has 5 syllables, second 7, third 5 again.


Kestrel hawks are also known as Windhovers given their extraordinary ability to maintain the same vigilant aerial position while scanning the hedgerows beneath for the presence of small prey.
