He's waiting for me
Anticipation
by Marion Issa
Silence
For once
Why does it ring
Pestering my head
Is it time yet
It's barely dark
I can't be late
Merrily I go
So eager to see him
Entwined to fate
A smile at the idea
Embraced so tight
I mutter, I love you
Now read bottom to top
Reverse Poem writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt Reverse poetry is a unique form where a poem can be read from top to bottom to reveal one meaning, and from bottom to top to reveal a different or even opposite meaning. Write this type of poem for this contest. At the end of your poem, include the note: “Now read bottom-up.” Read the Poem of the Month winner I am fine by Jessica Wheeler for an example. |
