A Reverse Poem Contest Entry

Life

by John Cranford

Life has no meaning.
Life is shallow with no hope.
My convictions have faltered.
Circumstances have led me astray.
Sorrow and defeat have surrounded me.
Shadows and failures have darkened my path.
But this road that I travel has many sharp turns.
The sun breaks through and my vision is clear.
There are sacred truths and profound secrets to unlock.
There are broader fields and loftier heights to be reached.
I can sail through life's storms by placing my trust on high.
Life, through deep faith in God, is full.
Life has true meaning.

Reverse Poem writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Reverse poetry is a unique form where a poem can be read from top to bottom to reveal one meaning, and from bottom to top to reveal a different or even opposite meaning. Write this type of poem for this contest. At the end of your poem, include the note: “Now read bottom-up.” Read the Poem of the Month winner I am fine by Jessica Wheeler for an example.

I'm not sure this poem falls within the rules of the contest...but I thought I'd give it a shot.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
