Variations of tears from Mother Natures POV

Tears From the Sky

by DeVon Blair

Though the land itself seems healthier than it appears

It doesn’t rain much around here

The sun soars high

a few clouds in the sky

But no rain in sight

I wonder why

Nighttime comes, only for a blink

Then a new day arrives without missing a beat

The same routine prolonged for years

Not a puddle on the ground

But the sky is never clear

Surrounding the sun are large clouds

Locked with moisture but won’t let any rain out

Clouds are tough

No matter how heavy they are they manage to stay up

What kind of rain is coming about?

A monsoon mist?

Comfort across the land like a warm kiss?

What about a drizzle, that’s not enough to fill a cup?

Or a downpour shower that drenches the trees and brush?

Maybe it’s a storm

That will come down at night

That rages through the wind

With all its might

A flash of lightning that hits the ground

A loud thunder trails behind

Wringing out the clouds that don’t look so kind

A dark overcast fills the sky, unleashing it’s load

Soaking the land with a vicious blow

As the rain dies down and the clouds move back

Mr sun comes out after a nice long nap

A rainbow appears shedding its colors

Till the next time it rains

You will not see another
