The loss of a loved one is painful.

Soon

by HarryT

Cold winds came and took you away
From our home on Arlington Way
Pain of your death continues to swell
In our home on Arlington Way
Our house a place of lonely loss
The place we built and loved so well

Now our bed is cold and bare
In our home on Arlington Way
No more sunlight, only dark night
In our home on Arlington Way
You, always haunting my desolate mind
My heart bleeding desperate despair
I’m so alone in our home on Arlington Way

I wandered about our home on Arlington Way
Wait is it a dream or is it you I feel?
I hear whispers in the night wind calling me
Oh, your breath in my ear, a haunting sound
I know it’s you. Yes, I’ll come my dearest dear
I’ve bought a gun; I promise I’ll pull the trigger
I’ll be with you soon.
