For Tom Shortess, husband of Teri 7

Teri's gift for Tom

by Debi Pick Marquette

This year she wanted to give him a diff'rent kind of gift

The kind that says I love you with a much endearing lift

So Teri asked for me to write a personalized poem

For her to give her husband while they celebrate at home

 ****

Tom Shortess is the kind of man that makes his Teri proud

A Christian in and out of church; his Jesus voice is loud

He always makes a sacrifice for family and church

A nicer guy you'll never find, no matter where you search

He took only the day shift when he worked for Government

So he was there at night for them, and it was time well spent

And at the time that Teri's health was suffering the most

He took care of the household, when MS was diagnosed

She's thankful for three sons that God put in their life to bless

And may the love of family always mean happiness

And Teri hopes Tom always knows her fav'rite part of life

Would have to be when God decided she would be his wife

Tom, everyone at FanStory is happy that we met

We hope your year is full of joy and you have no regret

And may your birthday be one that you soon will not forget

We join Teri with wishes that it is the best one yet
