Too much of a good thing.

Surfeit.

Rotting autumn fruit.

Brown-skinned apples, weeping pears.

Just too fecund much.

Ode To Autumn writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
write a 5-7-5 poem in 575 format about autumn ~ the word "autumn" must be one of the words in the poem.

I live in what used to be the orchard of the big house at the top of the lane. Eight apple trees and four pear trees in my garden. Yeah, great. But when the fruit starts to fall I am totally overwhelmed by the quantity of fruit I have to deal with. We make our own cider and Perry and my wife bakes terrific tarts but we just can*t keep up, even asking all our friends to come and help themselves. What a pathetic whine! I agree.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
