Have pity on the bullies

For being so damn mean

'Cause it's

Their childhood way of coping

With never being seen.

Their Daddy maybe beat them.

Or Momma was a drunk.

At best, they were neglectful.

So

Their kids end up as thugs.

To fight their parents' demons,

They change into one too.

But then,

When no one ever likes them,

They haven't got a clue!

Instead of praising others

They glare

With hateful, jealous eyes.

For nothing makes them happy

But seeing people cry.

They live a life that's fear-based.

"If others have, I lose."

So

When people need their succor,

Their selfishness will rule.

They hoard up their belongings,

Like money, power, fame.

And crushing people's feelings

Becomes an addict's game.

Their spouses end up leaving.

Their kids can't stand them too.

They wind up in a "home" and

Then

They bully staff there too!

They have so many chances

To learn to treat us well.

To love

Their neighbor as themselves

And not wind up in hell.

It's hard to love a bully

SO

I'll do it from afar.

And learn from their behavior

How not to gain God's ire.

I'm grateful for my friendships.

I love to see friends win.

Their joy makes me feel happy

Yet

I'm sad when there is sin.

If I have wronged another

I will apologize

And try to make it better.

On this, our peace relies.
