Above the gravities of worlds...

We have made a mess of the world, in this time we call history; no matter if we cast off kings for assemblies, capitalism for communism, vote left or right, we don't seem to be getting anywhere. We are still in a world of war, poverty, crime and slander. Some would say it's the system, I might call it our human nature, but the ruins are all around us. Only in this otherworldly love and grace, in the sacrifice of Christ, can we hope to rise above it and stand with those who have gone before us, into a better world. This one is in a more structured form, a classic rhymed quatrain, and maybe that form hints of the theme somewhat, a solid base on which to stand among the ruins. estory
