Writing Prompt An Essence poem captures the core or essence of a moment, feeling, or image in a brief, vivid way. Required Structure Two lines Six syllables per line Each line contains an internal rhyme The lines end with a rhyme Example Glimmer's shimmer, day's rays, Soft breeze, leaves tease and sway. Write an essence poem. This is a poem of two lines with six syllables per line, each containing an internal rhyme and an ending rhyme.
