Retelling of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

Crissy and The Bear Family

by nomi338

Barbara Brownbear, her husband Apollo, and their son Justin decided to go for a short walk to let their freshly cooked breakfast of apples and cinnamon oatmeal cool down.

Meanwhile, Crissy Johanson, also known as Goldie, was fuming after an argument with her mom. She stormed out of their mansion, jumped into her sleek Mercedes Benz, and sped away without a destination in mind. She just needed to escape. Eventually, she ran out of gas and found herself in a remote area with no cell service.

Looking around, she spotted a cabin in the distance. Reluctantly, she hiked towards it. The door was unlocked and opened easily. The aroma of oatmeal hit her, reminding her that she hadn’t eaten anything recently. She found three bowls of oatmeal on the table and, without hesitation, devoured the contents of all three bowls.

Feeling full, she decided to take a quick shower to wash off the sweat from her hike. She found the bathroom, took a quick shower, and didn’t bother to dry off. She then searched for a bed to rest on and found a small twin bed. She plopped down and quickly fell asleep.

The Brownbear family returned from their walk to find their front door slightly ajar. They were horrified to see their much-anticipated breakfast had been eaten. Apollo Brownbear, furious, followed the trail of wet footprints from the bathroom to Justin’s bedroom. There, he found Crissy blissfully snoring away.

Apollo’s roar woke Crissy with a start. “Who are you and what are you doing in my house?” he demanded.

They held Crissy until the rangers arrived. They took her to jail and had her car towed to the nearest town. The judge sentenced her to a month of community service, picking up trash along the local highway. To her surprise and hurt pride, her mom did not come to her rescue. Crissy learned a valuable lesson about respecting boundaries and the sanctity of others’ homes.

Fairy Tale Retelling contest entry

This is a story of someone with too much privilege and not nearly enough humility. She is taught the reality of life in a somewhat painful and frightening way. Hopefully for her future benefit.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
