The Flamingo

by mermaids

she stands in Cape Cod waters

a southern beauty to admire
 
her slender limbs posing
as if she is art alive
 
an unusual tourist
unlike the human kind
 
she is welcome here
as warm ocean waters
caress her feet
 
the presence of 
one so pink
brings a smile
in a place where
she stands
a most unique
visitor
