A Fibonacci Spiral poem for the emotions contest

Spiraling Emotions

by June Sargent

Bright
joy
becomes ~
suddenly ~
dark melancholy,
as clouds overshadow the light,
creating feelings of anxiety in the heart ~
swirling like a wild tornado,
that slowly dies down ~
as sunlight
prevails
once
more.

More
often
than you know,
depression affects
the lives of people ~ young and old ~
who suffer from stress and unpredictable mood swings
of their bipolar disorder.
Offering comfort
and support
reflects
our
love.
