Poem appropriate for middle school.
Cellphone Troubles
In my classroom I was napping,
when my teacher started tapping
on my noggin, and it startled me awake.
She asked if I found her boring
`cause she thought she heard me snoring,
but I didn’t have a good excuse to make.
I’d stayed up late on-line chatting.
Now, it's sleep I am combatting,
and admitting it might make me lose my phone.
I’m aware I am in trouble.
when Mom hears, it will be double.
Still, I guess I must confess and make it known.
I’m not texting, now, nor sending.
Teacher’s trust is slowly mending.
It is not a good idea to stay up late.
Cell phones tend to be addictive.
Too much use can be conflictive.
There are better ways I can communicate.
