Looking for the Light

by Gypsy Blue Rose

 
hold my hands

when I stand in darkness

with fear in my heart

only you can quiet

the storms of our time



thoughts of pending doom

thrust the air out of my lungs

with the heavy-weight

of horrible things to come

like losing my rights
 
 
 
but all I have to do
is to step into the light
